Stop Human Trafficking Community Conversation

Recent arrests for attempted sex trafficking of children in Tri-Cities, Washington have raised awareness of this terrible crime, and questions abound: How big is the problem? What are the next steps? What can we do to help? In response, SI of Pasco-Kennewick, SI of Three Rivers, and United Way of Benton & Franklin Counties are organizing a Community Conversation event on minor sex trafficking in our community that will include an expert panel, moderated by a local Police Chief. Invitations have been extended to panelists from key organizations—which include the Prosecutor’s Office, Juvenile Justice, SARC, Union Gospel Mission, Mirror Ministries and My Friend’s Place. Each panelist will talk briefly to describe their programs and any needs that they have. A Q & A will follow.
