The Live Your Dream: Education & Training Awards for Women, established in 1972 by Soroptimist International of the Americas, assists women who provide the primary source of financial support for their families. The award gives them the resources they need to improve their education, skills and employment prospects. Live Your Dream Award applicants have faced economic and social barriers as well as personal hardships that have prevented them from pursuing and achieving their educational and professional goals.
Women in the US and Canada are able to apply through the SIA online Application Portal. The portal opens July 1 and eligible applicants may submit their applications by the deadline, November 15. Club Chairs can download their applications from the portal, forward the eligible applications to the judges electronically and complete the application process on the SIA portal of submitting their winners by February 1.
The 1st place winners from each club are due to the Region Live Your Dream Award Chair by February 1 of each year. Judges will select one winner to send to the Federation award level. The program concludes with the announcement of the Federation winner in July.
Northwestern Region has a goal of 100% club participation in Live Your Dream Awards, the signature program of SIA, to positively impact the lives of women throughout Northwestern Region.
